Awhile ago I tried to do something like this for standard Corral with only 2s and 12s, but I couldn’t get anything interesting. The extra color was apparently all I needed.

The amount of identical clues packed together (a set of four 6s, a set of four 5s) was accidental at first, and I had little luck keeping it going without disrupting the solution path too much. That’s an artistic gimmick I’ll do much better in a later construction, I guess.

In retrospect, the rule variation here is very similar to what Zotmeister did with this puzzle. His variation wasn’t in mind at all when I came up with this, so I guess great minds think alike?
