How did you muster the patience to make the grid so regular?
I got kind of lucky constructing this one. It worked out on one of the first few tries. In general I spend a lot of time trying to get crazy constructions sort of like this one, 75% of the time giving up after various amounts of time. But there are occasions where it just works. The 22-themed Fillomino Path and a recent classic Fillomino with clues arranged in 3-term arithmetic progressions were similarly lucky breaks.

This puzzle was ugly. The numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 appeared more than four time apiece, and 5, 7, 8, and 9 appeared fewer than four times each.
Who am I kidding? This was absolutely beautiful.

very good design, although imo not a wed/thurs, but still had the feel of a mellowmelon puzzle
