Answer Entry: Some squares are marked with letters. For each letter in alphabetical order, determine how many of the nine squares bordering the lettered square, including the square itself, are contained inside the loop. Enter these digits in alphabetical order by letter.

I’ve enjoyed these in the past and this one is no exception. It was interesting in general that the logic sort of transitioned from figuring out the lying squares because they were logically impossible at the beginning to figuring out which squares were lying by process of elimination and then having to make deliberate choices about the path to ensure that they were actually false.

I rather like that these tend to have a tighter solution path than generic slitherlinks, where you can pretty much dive in at any one of a zillion spots and just sort of chase things around.

(Anyone who hasn’t tried #261, that’s the masterpiece of the genre thus far)

Nice co-ordination between the clues. After solving yours Todays puzzle found that there are 9 more to go. so will be doing one by one and ask you if any doubts or stuck up somewhere in between. 🙂
