## Puzzle 149 (Out of Sight)

This is a Sunday Out of Sight puzzle.

Um…

Hmmm…

Well, I seem to have lost the image… which is very strange considering pretty much everything is digital down here. Wonder how that happened. I’m sure I’ll have all of this sorted out by today at 12:00 noon (ET), so come back then!

At least for now this puzzle is living up to its name; I guess that’s some consolation.

This is the best puzzle ever. The logic in the upper-right corner is very, very tough to figure out. Heck, the whole puzzle is tough to figure out. Amazing work.

Yeah, I figured this one would be a favorite.

It’s a good thing today’s puzzle is an Out of Sight. It could have been a Right Face puzzle, which would unfortunately be broken.

Sorry for double posting, I forgot to mention:

I am astonished that mathgrant didn’t use this trick with his EZ puzzles.

Maybe I’m an idiot (it’s definitely possible), but where’s the puzzle?

…Found the blog last week or so, and am busy trying to find some time to work my through all the puzzles (and mathgrant’s too). Hi!

It’s really not. Here’s screencaps of how the page for 150 looks to me. ( http://snideasides.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/doc1.doc ) Where should I be looking?

That’s what you should be seeing. The “picture” in that Double Back is a number of (roughly shaped) arrows and dots, each colored in red, blue, green, and purple in the same shades as a typical Out of Sight puzzle. Remove the outer border of squares in the puzzle and divide the remaining 48 by 48 grid into 4 by 4 chunks, resulting in a new 12 by 12 grid, a typical size for an Out of Sight puzzle. Every arrow and dot seen in the Double Back will fit exactly into one of the squares of the new 12 by 12 grid, and gives the color and symbol in that square. What you get from all of this is puzzle 149.

Ahhhhhhhhh. So, yeah. I’m dumb.
