## Puzzle 413 (Fillomino) [No-rectangle]

This is a No-rectangles Fillomino puzzle. In addition to the usual rules, none of the polyominoes can form a rectangle.

Answer Entry: Enter the units digits (last digit) of the number in each circled cell starting with the leftmost column and going right.

Amazing puzzle. That symmetry is just… wow. If this is a preview I can’t imagine what will be on the test.

Counting that last polyomino might be a pain though.

Aesthetically amazing. Logically? Pretty amazing too, although it feels somewhat like andersonw’s Puzzle 11. The total lack of symmetry of the 4s in the solution is pretty amazing too.

But in the test No-Rectangle worth 3 and 6 points. This one, if it made the test, would worth the 6 points. What puzzle could remove this from the test?

And you have correctly identified the inspiration. I did link to that puzzle on my blog after all. The main addition I had to the idea was the almost-symmetry.

This is going to be such a letdown on the test for me. At first I’m looking at not making the 4′s rectangular and getting nowhere. Then I remember there can’t be 1 and 2 cell areas. Then I forget the 4′s can’t form rectangles as I’m so busy avoiding 1 and 2 cell areas.
But great puzzle, even though it took me far too long to complete.

Superb Puzzle!! Initially for 5 min i was just thinking where to start ? how to start ? and Then Got the logic as para said above !! and then it went smooth! Really a wonderfull puzzle can’t expect better than this in test.
